Board Members Named for 2008

Prince William County Supervisor John D. Jenkins (D-Neabsco) has been named chairman of the Virginia Railway Express board for 2008.

The board makes recommendations about the management and financing of VRE, which provides commuter rail service from Manassas and Fredericksburg to the District.

Fairfax County Supervisor Sharon S. Bulova (D-Braddock) has been named vice chairwoman, Stafford County Supervisor Paul Milde (R-Aquia) will serve as treasurer and Arlington County Board member Chris Zimmerman was named secretary.

D.C. CRIME

Man Slain; 2nd Victim Identified

A 25-year-old Northeast man was shot to death Friday night in the 4200 block of Blaine Street NE, D.C. police said. He was identified as Taon Williams of the 200 block of 50th Street NE.

Also, a man killed in Anacostia on Friday night was identified by police yesterday as Jerome Williams, 31, of the 3900 block of Suitland Road in Suitland.
