Nightclub Damaged by Intentionally Set Fire

A fire that damaged a nightclub yesterday in Bladensburg was set deliberately, authorities said.

The blaze broke out about 6 a.m. at the Iron Castle Lounge in the 5400 block of Annapolis Road, said Mark Brady, a spokesman for the Prince George's County fire department. Damage was estimated at $50,000, he said.

The club was unoccupied at the time of the fire, and no one was injured, Brady said. He said the fire was set by an incendiary device but would not elaborate, citing the investigation.
