HOME SALES: In 2007, 53 single-family homes sold in Mount Pleasant for $345,000 to $1.1 million, according to Drew Gagliano of Re/Max Allegiance. There are 10 single-family homes listed for sale in the neighborhood, priced between $449,900 and $2 million, and three more are under contract.

WITHIN WALKING DISTANCE: Many local businesses including a hardware store, grocery stores and restaurants, as well the National Zoo, Rock Creek Park and the Columbia Heights Metro station.

WITHIN 5 TO 10 MINUTES BY CAR: Downtown Washington, Washington Hospital Center, Children's Hospital
