Virginia Tech (11-8, 2-3 ACC) at Boston College (12-5, 3-1)

4 p.m., WDCA (Channel 20), WNUV (Channel 54)

Back at it: The Hokies are traveling to Boston Collee after playing a physical game against Duke on Thursday night, while the Eagles have been sitting at home for a full week. Duke Coach Mike Krzyzewski blasted the ACC for the way it scheduled the game, but Virginia Tech Coach Seth Greenberg sees it differently. "It's not difficult at all," Greenberg said. "Not an issue. Hey, BC might be rusty. In the NBA, they do it every day. It's not going to be an excuse. We're getting on a chartered plane. We're flying an hour and a half. We're going to eat a catered meal. We're going to watch film. We're going to come back that night, watch film again, have an ice cream bar and go to sleep. How tough is that?"

George Mason (14-5, 6-2 CAA) at UNC Wilmington (12-8, 5-3)

7 p.m., MASN

On a Roll: The Patriots have won four in a row and five of six to move within a game of first place in the CAA, but they've lost nine of their last 10 games at UNC Wilmington. Mason is coming off an 86-53 victory over Old Dominion on Wednesday, the seventh time the Patriots have scored at least 80 points, and has made 76 three-pointers in the past nine games. Senior F Will Thomas is averaging 16.3 points and 9.8 rebounds and is shooting 63.9 percent.

On the Mark: The Seahawks, who have won three straight and are 7-2 at home, are the CAA's best shooting team from both the field (47.6) and free throw line (76.6). Senior Gs T.J. Carter (Chopticon) and Daniel Fountain (Woodbridge) lead the team in scoring at 15.8 and 14.2 points per game, respectively.

George Washington (5-9, 1-3 Atlantic 10) at Duquesne (12-5, 2-2)

7 p.m.

Road Test: The Colonials have beaten the Dukes six straight times, but in a rebuilding year in which it has lost all seven road games, GW will face another difficult challenge after falling to Xavier and Rhode Island. Fs Wynton Witherspoon (12.2) and Rob Diggs (12.1) and G Maureece Rice (11.8) are scoring in double figures for the Colonials. Duquesne is 8-1 at home, the only loss coming to Pittsburgh. Dukes C Shawn James is averaging 14.3 points, 7.3 rebounds and 4.2 blocked shots. His status, however, is uncertain after mildly spraining a knee ligament Monday.

Holy Cross (9-8, 0-4 Patriot League) at American (11-8, 3-1)

2 p.m.

End of the Line: The Eagles are tied for second place in the Patriot League with Bucknell, one game behind Lafayette, and will attempt to end a seven-game losing streak to the visiting Crusaders. Junior G Garrison Carr (17.1 ppg) needs 10 three-pointers to tie Frank Ross's 21-year-old program record for three-pointers in a season (86). The Patriot League record is 99. Picked to win the conference championship, Holy Cross still is searching for its first Patriot League victory. Senior C Tim Clifford is contributing 16.6 points and 5.6 rebounds per game.

Charlotte (13-7, 4-0 Atlantic 10) at GW Women (15-4, 3-1)

2 p.m.

Home Sweet Home: The Colonials have won seven straight games at Smith Center and have won at least 10 home games in 17 consecutive seasons. GW is 232-35 at home under Coach Joe McKeown.

Achilles' Heel: The 49ers will be trying to open the conference season with five consecutive victories for the second straight year. Last season, GW ended Charlotte's school-record 22-game home-court winning streak with a 64-59 victory.
