GW vs. Saint Joseph's

DEFENDING TERRITORY: GW is 5-1 at home this season, while Saint Joseph's has the Atlantic 10's best road record at 7-3, with the losses at Syracuse, Creighton and Charlotte. The Colonials are trying to avoid their fifth straight loss. In their last game, a 92-67 loss at Duquesne,
Wynton Witherspoon scored 17, and Rob Diggs had 14 points and 12 rebounds.
HITTING ITS STRIDE: Following a 4-4 start, Saint Joseph's has won eight of its last nine and three straight, including a 68-67 comeback victory over Temple on Saturday. SJU is led by Pat Calathes's 18.3 points and 8.3 rebounds per game and Ahmad Nivins's 14.5 points with 7.0 rebounds. Iowa State transfer Tasheed Carr leads the conference in assists with 6.6 per game.
American vs. Navy

ONE-SIDED AFFAIR: American has won the last three meetings and 14 of the last 15. The Eagles have won nine straight over the Midshipmen at Bender Arena dating from 1989. American is coming off a 66-64 loss to Holy Cross on Saturday. Garrison Carr led the Eagles with 17 points in that game, including four three-pointers. He has 80 three-pointers on the season, six shy of tying the school record.
FILLING IT UP: Navy senior guard Greg Sprink leads the Patriot League with 21 points per game. As a team, the Midshipmen, who have lost two of their last three, lead the league in scoring at 76.1 points per game. Navy most recently lost to Army on Saturday on a bucket by the Black Knights' Jarell Brown with 13 seconds left.
