There was no estimate of how many budget books Congress will order, the spokesman said. A set of the four primary budget books usually sells for about $200 at the Government Printing Office.
Who Said Feds Can't Tackle?
A former fed will be playing in Sunday's Super Bowl. James Butler, a 215-pound safety for the New York Giants (jersey No. 37), worked for the General Services Administration in the summer of 2004. He was employed for three months as a building assistant in Atlanta, where he attended Georgia Tech.
The next year, Butler signed with the Giants as a free agent.
Retirements
Lawrence Baca, deputy director of the Office of Tribal Justice at the Justice Department, retires Sunday after 32 years working in the department's Civil Rights Division.
Robert Clemens, transportation specialist at the Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration in the Transportation Department, retires tomorrow after 35 years of federal service. He began his career at the now-defunct Interstate Commerce Commission.
Alexis M. Stefani, deputy assistant secretary for budget and programs at the Transportation Department, retires today after 35 years of federal service. She worked for 25 years in auditing and evaluation for the department's office of the inspector general.
