First Period

First goal, 13:06: Ovechkin fires a one-timer from the circle over Montreal goalie Cristobal Huet's shoulder after a crossing pass from Milan Jurcina.

Second Period

Assist, 4:35: Ovechkin fakes shot and instead delivers a pass to the slot that Viktor Kozlov redirects around Huet.

Second goal, 11:54: Kozlov threads the puck between Montreal defenseman Roman Hamrlik's skates and into the slot to Ovechkin, who fires it in.

Third Period

Third goal, 12:30: Ovechkin takes pass from Kozlov then rifles puck from the top of circle between the legs of Montreal defenseman Mark Streit and past Huet's glove.

Overtime

Fourth goal, 3:34: Ovechkin takes pass from defenseman Jeff Schultz down low, whiffs on first attempt but chips in the second.
