¿ COURTS: Two Montreal Canadiens players were arrested outside a Tampa nightclub. Ryan O'Byrne, 23, has been accused of stealing a woman's purse, and Thomas Kostopoulos, 29, has been charged with resisting an officer. Both have been released after posting bail.
¿ COLLEGE HOCKEY: In Boston, Nick Petrecki scored his second goal of the game -- and of his career -- at 7 minutes 7 seconds of overtime to lead Boston College to a 6-5 victory over Harvard in the Beanpot championship game.
Boston University beat Northeastern, 5-4, earlier in the consolation game.
¿ AUTO RACING: Argentina and Chile will host the 2009 edition of the Dakar Rally, which was canceled this year because of fears of terrorism in Africa. The race will start in Buenos Aires on Jan. 3 and finish there on Jan. 18.
