The Feb. 20 editorial "Failed Follow-Up" was appropriately critical of the administration's "stagnant funding" for the Head Start program, which was reauthorized last year.

No mention was made of the No Child Left Behind reform, President Bush's education showpiece, for which many state governments also report receiving insufficient federal funds.

With the president's final year underway, will mere lip service be paid to two touted education programs?
