And that "Little Dutch" started in the New York Giants baseball organization, went on to play second base in the major leagues for the Cubs, Tigers and Indians, and was the "player to be named later" to complete a trade to the Yankees after the 1946 season? He also was on the Tigers team that lost the 1940 World Series to the Cincinnati Reds, but didn't get to play.
