Highlights

The eight remaining women perform on "American Idol" (Channel 5 at 8).

When a psychiatrist is found shot to death in his office on "Law & Order" (Channel 4 at 10), the detectives' suspicions move from a patient to the doctor's jealous and much younger wife.

On "Men in Trees" (Channel 7 at 10), the town of Elmo waits for word on Jack's condition, while Marin tends to Cash through his illness and Annie discovers surprising information about Jerome's past life.

Elle Macpherson shows up on "America's Next Top Model" (Channel 50 at 8) to give the gals advice on how to model her new lingerie line.

"Making It Big" (Style Network at 7) is a new series in which young professionals compete for a new job.

Rami, Jillian or Christian [see story on Page C7] will be crowned the winner on the fourth-season finale of "Project Runway" (Bravo at 10).

"Destination Truth" (Sci Fi at 10) returns for a second season with host Josh Gates circling the globe to uncover the truths behind some popular myths; first up, Josh travels to Nepal to investigate the myth of the Yeti.

"High School Reunion" (TV Land at 10), a six-part reality series, puts members of the class of 1987 from J.J. Pearce High School in Dallas in a Hawaiian mansion; classmates include Jason the bully and Glenn the geek, who was a victim of Jason's terror, plus Lana the drama queen, her ex-husband Mike the rebel and her ex-lover Steve the backstabber.

"Tyler Perry's House of Payne" (TBS at 9) returns with new episodes; Madea (Tyler Perry) appears in Curtis's dream after he fights with Ella over the fact that he takes her for granted.

Gabriel Byrne appears on "Charlie Rose" (Channel 32 at 11).

Russell Crowe, Larry the Cable Guy and Willie Nelson are guests on "The Tonight Show With Jay Leno" (Channel 4, 11:35).

Howard Stern and musical guest Ayo appear on a recent repeat of "Late Show With David Letterman" (Channel 9, 11:35).
