Jessica Adair scored 12 points, Kimberly Beck added 11 points, 6 assists and 5 steals, and No. 13 George Washington breezed past Rhode Island, 70-43, in a quarterfinal game of the Atlantic 10 tournament last night in Philadelphia.

Whitney Allen and Sarah-Jo Lawrence each scored 10 points for the second-seeded Colonials (25-5). George Washington, which has won five in a row, will play today against the winner of last night's quarterfinal between Xavier and Saint Joseph's.

Amanda McGrew led the Rams (13-18) with nine points.

George Washington raced to a 36-17 halftime lead and pushed its advantage to 28 points in the second half.

Adair, a junior, raised her career scoring total to 995 points, five shy of becoming the 25th player in program history to reach the 1,000-point milestone.

¿ TENNESSEE 63, VANDERBILT 48: In Nashville, Candace Parker scored 17 of her 25 points in the first half to give the No. 3 Lady Vols a shot at their third Southeastern Conference tournament title in four years with a win over the No. 21 Commodores.

The victory gives the Lady Vols (29-2) a rematch in tonight's final against Louisiana State, the last team to beat them, 78-62 on Feb. 14.

Jennifer Risper had 14 points and nine rebounds for Vanderbilt (23-8), which took an early 10-point lead before losing to Tennessee for the 15th straight time.

¿ LSU 66, KENTUCKY 49: In Nashville, Sylvia Fowles had 20 points and 13 rebounds to pace the No. 7 Lady Tigers to the Southeastern Conference tournament championship game.

LSU (27-4) will make its fourth consecutive trip to the title game.
