Dollars Per Gallon

Wednesday, March 12, 2008

I find it amazing that it seems to have taken so long for people to notice that the devaluation of the dollar is a cause of the increase of U.S. gas prices ["OPEC Says Members Won't Pump More Oil," Business, March 6]. In 2001, I could buy a euro for 83 cents, and gas cost about $1.40 a gallon. Now a euro costs $1.40 or more, and gas is $3.15 a gallon. Notice a correlation?
