- How to publicize an indie rock show? These days, an e-mail blast and some blog posts should suffice. Yet it turns out there are folks insistent on that prehistoric method, the poster. A survey exhibition of recent efforts -- made to illustrate concerts by the Decemberists and the White Stripes among many, many others -- finds graphic designers incorporating key cultural referents: Bauhaus (the movement, not the band), 1960s-era psychedelia and the drawings of Maurice Sendak. In the gallery's rear room, artist Jesse LeDoux has installed "The Masters of Balance," which looks to be human-scaled versions of the talking paper bags from Fandango commercials. With eyes the size of dinner plates, they're awkward charmers.
