SCOUTS IN THE STANDS

Less than 24 hours after coaching American to its first NCAA Tournament berth, Coach Jeff Jones was seated in Section 113 of Comcast Center to watch Snow Hill guard Trevon Johnson. Johnson, a senior, averaged 18.5 points, 6 rebounds and 5.5 assists this season. Seton Hall Coach Bobby Gonzalez was in attendance to watch Largo center Maurice Sutton. The 6-foot-11 senior is considering scholarship offers from several schools, including Seton Hall, Boston College, South Florida and Marquette. Sutton plans to meet with Largo Coach Lewis Howard this week to discuss his options and make campus visits in the next few weeks before reaching his decision.
