Ovechkin was named the NHL's first star of the week yesterday as he closes in on the most productive month of his career. With three games left in March, Ovechkin has 12 goals and 23 points -- a goal and a point shy of his previous records for a month (13 goals, Jan. 2008; 24 points March 2006).
