¿ A March 25 Page One article about the merger of XM Satellite Radio and Sirius Satellite Radio incorrectly said that the public interest group Free Press supports conditions on the merger. Free Press has opposed the merger, even with conditions.
¿ A March 21 A-section article about a hospital in Tarusa, Russia, incorrectly said that the Russian Academy of Sciences conducted a study of health-care corruption in that country. The study was the work of the Independent Institute for Social Policy. The article also should have said that at least 35 percent of all payments for health care in Russia are made under the counter, not that corruption absorbs about 35 percent of all health-care spending.
¿ A March 21 Style review of "Paranoid Park" incorrectly described two characters. The protagonist is Alex, portrayed by actor Gabe Nevins; the friend of the protagonist is Jared, played by Jake Miller.
¿ A March 17 Page One article referred incorrectly to the helicopter that carried Richard M. Nixon from the South Lawn of the White House after he resigned the presidency in 1974. It was piloted by an Army crew and therefore was designated Army One, not Marine One.
