The Capitals signed 2006 draft choice Mathieu Perreault (sixth round, 177th overall) to a three-year, entry-level deal yesterday. The 5-foot-9, 166-pound center led the Quebec Major Junior Hockey League in scoring, notching his second straight 100-point season with 34 goals and 80 assists in 65 games for Acadie-Bathurst. He was the league MVP last season.
