Closer Chad Cordero played catch from 60 feet yesterday morning, testing his right shoulder for the first time since he received a cortisone shot Sunday night to relieve tendinitis. "Everything felt great," Cordero said. The club likely will see how Cordero reacts today, and if all goes well, he would throw a bullpen session tomorrow in St. Louis. . . . RHP Shawn Hill (forearm soreness) threw 64 pitches over four innings of a minor league intrasquad game in Viera, Fla., allowing one earned run. He should pitch in a minor league game Monday. . . .
