"It's tough. Anytime as an offense you score six runs, you're supposed to win the ballgame."

PERSONNEL DEPT.
Closer Chad Cordero played catch from 60 feet yesterday morning, testing his right shoulder for the first time since he received a cortisone shot Sunday night to relieve tendinitis. "Everything felt great," Cordero said. The club likely will see how Cordero reacts today, and if all goes well, he would throw a bullpen session tomorrow in St. Louis. . . . RHP Shawn Hill (forearm soreness) threw 64 pitches over four innings of a minor league intrasquad game in Viera, Fla., allowing one earned run. He should pitch in a minor league game Monday. . . . C Johnny Estrada will begin a minor league rehabilitation assignment at Class AAA Columbus tomorrow.
