19TH ST.,800 block, 10 p.m. April 2. Tory Wilcher, 30, of the 1900 block of Mississippi Avenue SE, was found with a gunshot wound to the head. He was taken to the D.C. medical examiner's office and pronounced dead.

DOWNING ST.,1500 block, 10:09 p.m. March 31. James Edward Kilgore, 20, of the 1400 block of Montana Avenue NE, was found inside a car with gunshot wounds. He was taken to Washington Hospital Center and pronounced dead at 10:36 p.m.


BENNING RD.,4400 block, 12:15 to 12:20 a.m. March 29. A gunman tried to rob two pedestrians of property, then fled when a pedestrian called police.

BLADENSBURG RD.,800 block, 10:22 p.m. March 28. A gunman robbed a male at a service station of property, then fled in a vehicle with two male accomplices.

BLADENSBURG RD.,1100 block, 8:58 to 8:59 p.m. April 2. Three males entered a convenience store and robbed people of wallets.

DIVISION AVE.,900 block, 5:10 to 5:13 p.m. March 29. Three males assaulted a male at a residence and took cash and a cellphone.

DIX ST.,3900 block, 3:24 to 3:25 p.m. April 1. Two boys tried to rob a male in a laundry business. A witness called police, and two boys, both 14, were arrested.

DOUGLAS ST.,4300 block, 5:35 p.m. April 1. A gunman and a male accomplice tried to rob a male pedestrian of property, then fled. Nothing was reported taken.

FENWICK ST. AND NEW YORK AVE.,6:40 a.m. March 31. A gunman got out of a vehicle and tried to rob a male pedestrian of a laptop computer. The gunman fled in the vehicle with a male accomplice. Nothing was reported taken.
