-- Orange UK IPTV: They said the same thing last year, but France Telecom (NYSE: FTE) CEO Didier Lombard this morning told MipTV Orange's much-delayed UK IPTV service will launch "by the end of the year", Reuters says. The service already operates in France, Poland and Spain and had promised a 2007 UK launch but that was pushed back to this year, being tested by 300 users in Leeds and London. All we've seen so far is idents produced for the service in September.

-- Tesco Mobile Ads: Tesco is launching ads on its mobile portal, following a successful trial, the retailer said yesterday. The trial, which included banner ads for Bee Movie, Nivea, ITV (LSE: ITV) and Teletext, were served up to the Tesco mobile portal and send users to specially created mini campaign WAP sites. Tesco reports the ads had click through rates of between three and seven percent. The supermarket's MVNO has a predominantly female audience (60 percent), whose average age is 36. Sixty percent of them visit the portal at lease once a month, and 69 percent said they would click on a relevant ad ( release).

-- Energee Goes Mobile: Energee, the game where players compete on building the biggest and most profitable green energy company, launched a mobile version today. Existing players can login on their mobile device to keep track of their company's progress. New players can login directly as the mobile game has all the features of the online version.
