EXPEDITION ALASKA

This two-hour special opens the network's Alaska Week as a team of naturalists, scientists and filmmakers spend 40 days in the wilderness. The program includes new footage of some of Alaska's wild animals, filmed in the state's National Wildlife Refuge. Other Alaska Week broadcasts include the series premiere of The Alaska Experiment (Tuesday at 10 p.m.), Alaska Oilmen: Gamble on Ice (Thursday at 8 p.m.) and Surviving Alaska (Friday at 9 p.m.).

ESPN FILMS: HELLFIGHTERS
9 p.m. on ESPN2
The network airs the first of four consecutive Tuesdays of sports documentaries with a profile of a high school football team in Harlem, N.Y.
Other films: The Streak (April 29) goes inside a high school wrestling program in Tampa that won 450 straight matches; Bud Greenspan: The Heart of the Games (May 6) looks at the Olympic filmmaker; and The Zen of Bobby V (May 13) profiles former Major League Baseball player and manager Bobby Valentine, who now coaches in Japan.
