Health Tip: Coping With Migraines During Pregnancy

(HealthDay News) -- Some women who are prone to migraines find that the headaches weaken during pregnancy, while other migraine suffers find that pregnancy increases the severity of their migraines, the American Pregnancy Association says.

It offers this list of common home remedies:

Use a migraine diary to figure out what triggers your migraines. Then try to avoid those triggers -- commonly foods such chocolate, cheese and coffee.Rest with a cool towel across your head.Take a cold shower.Try some light exercise.Rest in a cool, dark and quiet room.Practice yoga or meditation.
