In the District, dental clinics serving the poor include those hosted by:
· So Others Might Eat,60 O St. NW, 202-797-8806, Ext. 1041. Provides dental care to the homeless, to active members of SOME programs and to those living between New York and Florida avenues and First and North Capitol streets. Call for an appointment.
· Unity Health Care, 3020 14th St. NW, 202-518-6409. Accepts emergency walk-ins at 7:30 a.m. Monday through Friday.
· Howard University College of Dentistry,600 W St. NW, 202-806-0007. Emergency clinic accepts walk-ins (first come, first served) at 9 a.m. Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday, and 8:30 p.m. Wednesday.
Outside the District, call your county health department for information about dental services for low-income residents.
