SHAKEN

Midwesterners were jolted awake yesterday by a 5.2-magnitude earthquake, but officials say it caused no major injuries or damage. The quake struck at 4:37 a.m. Central time six miles from West Salem, Ill., rattling homes in Cincinnati and skyscrapers in Chicago. The last earthquake in the region to approach the severity of yesterday's temblor was a 5.0-magnitude quake that shook a nearby area in 2002.
