Alexandria Transit (DASH)
DASH buses run throughout Alexandria. They connect with all local bus systems, including Metrobus, Metrorail and Virginia Railway Express.

Hours of operation:5 a.m.-12:30 a.m. weekdays; 6 a.m.-midnight Saturdays; 7 a.m.-midnight Sundays.
Fares: Regular fare, $1. Free on Code Red ozone action days. DASH pass, $30 monthly for unlimited rides on all DASH routes. Free transfers upon boarding. Children 4 and younger ride free with an adult (two children per adult). DASH will accept SmarTrip, combined Metrorail/Metrobus bus-to-rail passes, VRE/MARC rail tickets and the pass for DASH's base fare. Regional bus transfers and Metrobus tokens are accepted for the base fare. Student, senior and disabled Metro fare passes are not accepted on DASH.

King Street TrolleyThe free trolley runs seven days a week between the King Street Metrorail station and the foot of King Street near the Potomac River waterfront, with signed stops about two blocks apart along King Street.

Hours of operation:10 a.m. to 10 p.m., seven days a week. From April 1 to Dec. 31, trolleys run every 15 minutes. From Jan. 1 to March 31, trolleys run every 30 minutes.

Fares:$1.25, a gold ART token or a Metrobus token; 35 cents or silver ART token with a Metrorail transfer. Free with Metrobus Flash Pass, bus-to-bus transfer or valid ART transfer. Free on Code Red ozone action days. Senior and disabled fares, 60 cents with Metro identification or Medicare card. Rail-to-bus transfers are worth 85 cents toward Metrobus fare. The fare with a transfer is 35 cents for regular Metrobus routes, $1.65 on express routes.
Senior Center Adult Transportation (SCAT)Arlington residents 55 and older can use the prearranged shared-ride cab transportation service. SCAT will provide round-trip transportation between residences and Arlington senior centers in specific zones.
