QUOTABLE
"I'm the first one who wants to win here. I want to win more than anybody here."
Manager Manny Acta
PERSONNEL DEPT.
C Johnny Estrada was out of the lineup for the third straight game. Manager Manny Acta said Estrada's right elbow is not 100 percent, which Estrada admits. Clearly, though, he wants to play. "We know what we're doing, and we're not going to be bullied by the guy's desire to be out there regardless of their condition," Acta said. . . . OF Elijah Dukes (hamstring) rejoined the club and ran in the outfield. "I feel like I'm ready to play now and get going," Dukes said. GM Jim Bowden said Dukes is improving, but there is no timetable for Dukes's return.
