The WFP says it serves 70 million people in about 80 countries each year. Donations can't be made to a specific country, but they can be made to a specific cause, such as child hunger or Sudan's Darfur region.
Catholic Relief Services
CRS focuses on international aid and has a Food Security program that aims to alleviate hunger through short-, medium- and long-term initiatives.

The private international humanitarian organization has been tackling food shortages as part of its fight against global poverty.

The international relief group started a Global Food Crisis Fund for people most severly affected by rising food prices.
