The Saints (22-0) will play No. 3 Georgetown Visitation in the championship game at 4:30 p.m. on Wednesday at Bullis. The Cubs advanced with an 11-5 win over No. 5 Bullis in yesterday's other semifinal.

Senior Erika Herrera got the Saints on the board 1 minute 9 seconds into the game, and they never looked back. St. Stephen's/St. Agnes led 8-2 at the half.

Holton-Arms (8-10) came out with a physical style, trying to use aggressiveness to combat a Saints squad that is among the nation's top five teams this season. But in doing so, the Panthers picked up four yellow cards for sticks to the head or dangerous play. On the fourth such violation, Holton-Arms had to play a man down for three minutes.

Senior Bailey Fogarty, junior Lindsey Robinson and sophomore Caitlin Lackner scored for Holton-Arms.

Junior Charlotte Davis had two goals and an assist for the Saints, and senior Hadley Lankford had a goal and assisted on another. Coach Kathy Jenkins said the team was even "a little nervous" for this game because of what occurred on Saturday. The Saints boys' lacrosse team upset No. 1 Georgetown Prep.

"It [an upset] can always happen. You want to finish on a good note," Jenkins said. "Our kids are pumped up to finish the season undefeated. That's what they want. They're focused, because it's hard to do."

In the other semifinal, six players scored for Georgetown Visitation (18-2), as the Cubs jumped out to an early 3-0 lead and secured a rematch against the team that kept them from the coveted regular season title. St. Stephen's/St. Agnes beat the Cubs, 16-3, on May 1 to win their 14th consecutive ISL crown. The teams had entered the game unbeaten in the league.

Senior Mary Lacey Gilbride scored three goals, and the Cubs got two each from senior Katie Oliverio and sophomores Annabelle Gilbride and Nina Swanson.

Bullis (15-3) played more than half the game without star midfielder Alex Aust, who was ejected in the first half after receiving her second yellow card for a stick to the head. Junior midfielder Dina Jackson had three goals for Bullis, while Chelsea Gleason and Lauren Polun had one apiece.

"We were confident and excited for this game," Visitation Coach McNevin Morris said. "When they lost Alex, that took some of the wind out of their sails, and we shut down Dina in the second half."
