-- DNA's ad-funded mobile plan: Finnish operator DNA has launched a partially ad-funded mobile tariff to boost usage of MMS and video calls by 3G customers, reports Telecom Paper. The new plan, called DNA Mainio, costs 65 euro cents ($0.85) a month, with marketing messages sent through SMS, MMS and e-mail. Voice calls and video calls will cost 0.067 euro cents ($0.087) a minute, while SMS and MMS cost 0.067 euro cents ($0.087) a piece. Up until the end of February, voice and video calls are 0.049 euro cents ($0.064) a minute, while texts and MMS are also 0.049 euro cents ($0.064) each.

-- GyPSii supports Nokia's touchscreen phone: GyPSii, the location-based social networking application, announced support today for Nokia's touchscreen device, the 5800 XpressMusic. The Netherlands-based company said the tie-up with Nokia (NYSE: NOK) would help the company extend its reach into more mass markets (release).

-- Food Networks rolls out mobile app: Food Network has launched a new subscription-based mobile application that lets users browse or search for recipes, which can be personalized to what they like to eat. The app includes a weekly meal planner, as well as a grocery list feature that can total up the groceries needed for the meals. The app is currently available to buy for $3.99 a month through Verizon (NYSE: VZ) and AT&T (NYSE: T) and will be released shortly on Sprint (NYSE: S) and T-Mobile. It can also be accessed through Handango or Handmark for a one-time fee of $19.95. (release)
