One of the many great things about Washington in the summer (okay, so we won't talk about the stifling humidity in August) is that you can find fun entertainment options just about every night of the week: from concerts in the park to movies on the green to military drill teams going through their paces. And much of it's free or very cheap.
To celebrate the wealth of things to do, Weekend is adding a feature called "Summer Nights," which will appear on Page 4 starting next week and continuing through the summer. We'll offer suggestions for things to do in your neighborhood that won't require much more than the desire to grab a lawn chair and enjoy the time of year when the living is easy.
