Blue Jays: Activated RHP Brian Wolfe from the 15-day disabled list and optioned him to Class AAA Syracuse.

Indians: Recalled RHPs Brian Slocum and Rick Bauer from Class AAA Buffalo and optioned RHPs Tom Mastny and Jensen Lewis to Buffalo.

Rangers: Recalled RHP Kameron Loe from Class AAA Oklahoma and purchased the contract of RHP Elizardo Ramírez from Oklahoma. Placed LHP A.J. Murray (left rotator cuff strain) on the 15-day DL and optioned IF Travis Metcalf to Oklahoma. RHP Vicente Padilla, meantime, will return from Nicaragua today (bereavement leave) and start tomorrow vs. the Rays.

Rays: Placed 1B Carlos Peña on the 15-day DL. He suffered a broken left index finger when he was hit by a pitch from Boston's Justin Masterson in the first inning Tuesday. The team promoted OF Justin Ruggiano from Class AAA Durham.

Twins: Activated RHP Scott Baker from the 15-day DL, and optioned IF Matt Macri to Class AAA Rochester.

White Sox: Signed RHP Esteban Loaiza, a 21-game winner for the team five years ago, as a free agent.
