I am wondering why you did not write about the "Connect With the Capital Crescent Trail" gathering May 31, when more than 400 people rallied to protest the possible encroachment of the proposed Purple Line light rail on the Capital Crescent Trail.
Instead, you ran only a picture and chose to write about new bicycle speed limits on the trail [Metro, June 1] -- an important issue, no doubt, but one that pales in comparison with the negative effect a nearby rail system would have on the trail that means so much to bicyclists, joggers and nature lovers. Please devote a story to our imperiled trail.
