PERSONNEL DEPT.

Aaron Boone, who tweaked a muscle in his neck Thursday against Pittsburgh, was held out of batting practice yesterday and will likely need more time to rest. . . . Odalis Pérez threw in the bullpen yesterday and is scheduled to pitch a simulated game Monday. He will almost certainly be placed on the disabled list today.
