PERSONNEL DEPT.
RHP Ryan Wagner, who has spent the last 13 months recovering from right shoulder surgery, will begin a minor league rehab assignment today with Class A Potomac. His fastball, once clocked between 91 and 93 mph, is now in the upper 80s -- but if Wagner can regain his old stuff, he'll become a "key guy" in the team's maligned bullpen, according to GM Jim Bowden. Still, Bowden said, "it's hard to know what you're going to get."
