AK ALL THE WAY
Steve Marino isn't the only golfer this week with hearty support. Emerging player Anthony Kim (7 under) had two devoted fans with homemade T-shirts following him yesterday before rain suspended play. Each shirt was white, with one emblazoned with a capital "A" in blue ink and the other with a capital "K".
ACE IN THE HOLE
Corey Pavin produced the shot of the tournament with an ace on the 215-yard, par-3 10th. One of the shortest hitters on tour, Pavin used a 3-hybrid, and the ball bounced four times on the green before rolling into the cup. The 1995 U.S. Open champion turned and pumped his right fist, then high-fived his caddie and other members of his group.
