Manager Manny Acta said he has been pleased with 3B Kory Casto's progress since Casto rejoined the lineup this week. Casto started Wednesday during the Nationals' 5-0 victory against Arizona, going 2 for 3 with two RBI. He made his second consecutive start last night.

"I think he's starting to realize if he does the right things and he relaxes that he can be valuable up here," Acta said. "I think he tried to impress people too much last year. He was highly touted out of spring training, but he has finally relaxed this year."

QUOTABLE

"It's getting better. I don't know if it's that much better than it was on the first day, but I'm not as tentative as I was. It's all about getting comfortable."
