Paul Lo Duca batted second in the order last night for the Nationals, a move Manager Manny Acta said served dual purposes. In addition to providing Lo Duca some at-bats in the top of the order, it also pushed Felipe López down another spot, which Acta hoped would allow López to "relax more and forget about what he's going through right now." Heading into last night's game, López, who batted eighth, had not recorded a hit in four games since the team returned from a seven-game road trip. He is batting .232.
