Here's How to Get It Right

Tuesday, July 22, 2008

I came across some tricks people use to overcome their left/right confusion. These are culled from http://www.metafilter.com and http://www.dyslexia.com.

· Hold thumb and index finger of each hand at a 90-degree angle. The hand that makes an "L" is the left hand.

· Pretend to say the Pledge of Allegiance; you're holding your right hand over your heart.

· Wear a rubber band on your right wrist.

· When using a wrench or screwing in a light bulb, remember "Righty tighty, lefty loosey."

· If you're right-handed, remember you WRITE with your RIGHT hand. Squeeze your fingers together like you're holding a pencil.
