PERSONNEL DEPT.
When 1B Aaron Boone (left calf strain) was sent to the disabled list just more than a week ago, he planned to return by Tuesday -- a scenario that would have forced him to miss just three games after the all-star break. But so far, Boone's recovery has been slow and he believes he'll need more time. "I don't even want to speculate," he said. "I just want to get it right."
