-- *AT&T* Navigator available worldwide: AT&T ( NYSE: T) has extended its GPS navigation service outside the U.S. borders to more than 20 countries now. The new coverage areas include most countries in western Europe, North America, the Caribbean and the six cities in China that will host the Olympics next month. The new service, which is only available on the carrier's GPS-enabled smartphones, costs $19.98 per month and can give spoken directions in English, Spanish, Italian or German. ( Release.)
-- MobileSphere launches slydial: For all those mobile phones that don't have the option to send an audio message directly to a recipient's voicemail, there's now slydial, a new beta service launched by MobileSphere. The service requires the user to call a number and follow voice prompts after listening to an audio advertisement. We're not sure how many wireless subscribers will make use of the service, seeing as how it takes up to a minute to get to the point where you can leave a voicemail, but still it provides yet another method to avoid actual human contact ? a winning proposition of late. -- Catch 21 comes to mobile: The new GSN game showCatch 21, the blackjack-slash-solitaire game that started online, is now available on mobile phones thanks to a deal between the games TV network and Cellufun, an ad-supported gaming company. GSN is jointly owned by Sony ( NYSE: SNE) Pictures Entertainment and Liberty Media ( NSDQ: LINTA) Corp. ( Release.)
-- Versaly Entertainment launches mobile video-on-demand channel: Versaly Entertainment's new mobile distribution site at m.Vmbc.tv serves as a single storefront for media buyers, carriers and content owners. Versaly claims to have one of the largest libraries of mobile video, something it plans to make available on the new site built by Nexage. ( Release.)
