Kids, It's Your Chance To Quiz McCain, Obama

· Kids, we need you!

With the 2008 presidential election just a little more than three months away, you have the chance to ask the two main candidates questions about issues that affect your lives.

The campaigns of Democratic Sen. Barack Obama and Republican Sen. John McCain have agreed to answer questions by KidsPost readers -- those of you who are actually kids!

Send them by Friday to: kidspost@washpost.com; please put POTUS in the subject line, short for president of the United States! Include your name, home town, photo if possible, and phone number so that we can contact you if we use your question. We will submit the most interesting queries to the senators and in August will publish their answers, along with information on the questioners.

We look forward to hearing from you!

Blowing in the Wind

· About a dozen people at a California bank rushed in to help a 70-year-old man who had tripped, causing thousands of dollars to scatter in the wind.

Ludwig Geier, a machine shop owner who was carrying the cash, said that hundreds of bills were "gone in no time" outside the First National Bank in Torrance but that strangers rushed to help recover the money.

About 96 percent of the money made it back to a grateful Geier. "If I could get them together, I'd buy them dinner and drinks," he said.
