HOMICIDES

MARK DR.,3700 block, 1:11 a.m. July 13. Police officers responding to a report of a stabbing found a man with trauma to the upper body. The man died at the scene. An Alexandria man, 20, was charged with murder.

ASSAULTS

ROYAL ST. S.,100 block, 1:30 a.m. July 12. Two males demanded cash from an Alexandria man, 38, at gunpoint. The man was then shot in the arm. The man was taken to a hospital. An Alexandria man, 18, was charged with malicious wounding and attempted robbery.

TRANCIL CT.,300 block, 3:15 p.m. June 26. A man assaulted an Alexandria man, 19, injuring his abdomen. The wounded man was taken to a hospital. A Woodbridge man, 42, was charged with malicious wounding.

ROBBERIES

BELLEFONTE AVE. E.,1-99 block, 12:10 a.m. July 10. Three males punched a woman in the head when she entered a laundry room in an apartment building and robbed her.

COLONIAL ST.,1200 block, 10:20 p.m. July 12. Three males robbed a Silver Spring woman, 24, of cash at gunpoint. No injuries were reported.

MOUNT VERNON AVE.,3800 block, 1:25 a.m. July 12. Three males robbed an Alexandria man, 19, of cash at gunpoint. No injuries were reported.

QUANTRELL AVE.,5900 block, 11 to 11:10 p.m. July 13. Two males robbed an Alexandria woman, 28, of a purse.

VAN DORN ST. N.,700 block, 1:20 a.m. July 11. Two males robbed an Alexandria man, 37, of cash at gunpoint.

THEFTS/BREAK-INS

CENTURY PL.,200 block, 10:30 a.m. to 7:45 p.m. July 14. Property was stolen from a residence entered by force.

MOTOR VEHICLE THEFTS

ARMISTEAD ST.,400 block, 8:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. July 13. A tan 2004 Jeep Liberty was stolen.
