Colleges Reach Deal On Student Transfers
Prince George's Community College in Largo and Capitol College in Laurel announced a partnership this month that will allow the community college's students to transfer to Capitol to get a bachelor's degree in science information assurance.
To be eligible, the community college students must have completed an associate of applied science degree in information security.
Charlene M. Dukes, president of Prince George's Community College, and Michael T. Wood, president of Capitol College, signed the agreement. The schools are members of CyberWATCH Center, a consortium of 25 educational institutions, businesses and government agencies in the Washington metropolitan area that seeks to strengthen information security education from elementary school through graduate programs. The center is supported by a grant from the National Science Foundation.
