Regarding the July 24 Metro article "Novak Cited for Hitting Pedestrian":
I received a ticket on my car Tuesday evening for failure to have my car inspected. The fine was $50. On Wednesday, I had the car inspected and had to pay an additional $140 penalty for failing to have it inspected on time.
That day, I saw on the news that columnist Robert D. Novak had hit a pedestrian and was given a ticket for $50 for failing to yield the right of way. Am I missing something?
