Jerry Colangelo, the managing director of the USA Basketball senior men's national team, asked players to commit three summers to the program. He selected 33 -- the first group of 23 in March 2006, a second group of eight in May 2007 and two others individually who ultimately were not selected. Team USA plays Canada tonight at 8 at the Thomas & Mack Center in Las Vegas (ESPN).
