An autopsy was scheduled this morning for a 66-year-old woman found dead in a Leesburg house last night under suspicious circumstances, authorities said.
A relative of the woman found her body in an upstairs bedroom of a house in the 200 block of Golden Larch Terrace just after 5 p.m., Leesburg police Lt. Jeff Dube said.
"We do believe there is some level of foul play involved," Dube said, adding that police don't believe there is a threat to anyone else in the neighborhood. "We don't believe that this is random."
The woman was not identified. Dube said authorities are awaiting autopsy results to determine the cause and time of death.
Police are looking for a 2005 blue, four-door Honda Accord with Virginia license plate KFL-3707 that was stolen from the house. Anyone with information is asked to call 703-771-4500 or 703-443-TIPS.
