- If you're searching for the best bang for your buck from Washington state (in addition to the wines mentioned in this week's column), keep these winemakers in mind: Arbor Crest, Boomtown, Chateau Ste. Michelle, Columbia Crest (both its Two Vines and Grand Estates lines), Covey Run, L'Ecole No. 41 and Snoqualmie.

- Those wanting to experience the best of the best of Washington state should keep an eye out for wines by Andrew Will, Betz, Cayuse, Chateau Ste. Michelle, DeLille, Leonetti, Quilceda Creek and Woodward Canyon.
