PERSONNEL DEPT.
Manager Manny Acta said results from an MRI exam yesterday on 3B Ryan Zimmerman's right wrist showed no serious injury. During Washington's 8-4 loss to the Philadelphia Phillies on Thursday, Zimmerman was hit by a fastball from RHP Kyle Kendrick. Acta said Zimmerman's status will remain day-to-day. "It feels better today than it did" on Thursday, Zimmerman said. "It's just the swelling. I have to work as fast as we can to get that out. Once that's gone, hopefully I can just go back in there."
QUOTABLE
"We can't erase all the losses that we had, but that's the way I'm approaching it."
