· An Aug. 4 Metro article incorrectly described the 1979 accident at Three Mile Island in Pennsylvania. Although it was the most serious accident in the operating history of U.S. commercial nuclear plants, it led to no deaths or injuries to plant workers or the nearby community, according to the U.S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission.
· The Commuter Page in the Aug. 3 Metro section misstated the projected tolls for the Capital Beltway high-occupancy toll lanes in Virginia. Tolls will average $1 a mile, not $1 an hour.
· An Aug. 2 A-section article misidentified the affiliation of Nicholas Bequelin. He is a China researcher for Human Rights Watch.
· An Aug. 1 Weekend listing gave an incorrect closing date for "Jerry Springer: The Opera." The Studio Theatre show ends Aug. 17.
· A July 31 A-section article misstated the affiliation of Ellen Bork. She follows China issues for Freedom House, a nonprofit human rights group.
